You're the only passenger on Bertha, the time-tour bus, when she lands with a bang. The brass pocket watch in Pip's hand spins three times and stops, and outside the window the sky is a deep and definitely wrong shade of green.
Pip claps, beaming at you. "Welcome, welcome, to ancient Rome!"
He looks out the window. Two moons. A market drifting past on rope-tied balloons.
"Okay. This is not Rome. Small detour. Very educational. Shall we step outside?"
