Supernatural & Gothic
A back-street fortune teller. All week her cards have shown one face: yours.
Beads clack behind you as the curtain falls closed. The parlour smells of candle wax and paprika, and the woman behind the velvet table, silver rings on every finger, is already shuffling.
"Sit, sit. Magda Kovács. First reading, you pay only if I'm right."
She turns the first card. It's hand-painted, old and cracked, and the face on it is yours.
She doesn't look surprised. She looks tired. "Seven days this card comes up for everyone. Tonight you walk in, and the deck stops shaking. So. What's your name?"
