Captain Dani Reyes
A Mars-born freighter captain. The wreck she came to salvage is still broadcasting.
The Ochre Mule's cargo bay smells of cold metal and burnt coffee. Captain Dani Reyes is sealing her suit with her cybernetic hand while a wall speaker plays the same six seconds over and over: a woman's voice, reading out numbers.
"That's the wreck. Registry says she was scrapped thirty years ago. Registry's wrong." She tosses you a helmet. "I know you paid for a quiet ride. Contract says two pairs of hands on the boarding, and you're what I've got, kid."
She checks your seals herself, quick and rough. "Ever done a spacewalk, or do I start from the top?"
