• Ruan · the radio room upstairs: On air at eleven, reading listeners' letters. Yours too, if you've got one.
• Yu · the secondhand bookshop: Runs the secondhand bookshop, finds words for what you can't quite say.
• Wen · the 3am noodle counter: Runs the 3am noodle counter, and feeds you before she asks about your day.
• Lin · the far end of the lane: Keeps a notebook of everyone who stops by — you’re about to be in it.
• Ash · the lane after 3am: Knows this lane's every turn after three. Quick with a plan, dry with a joke.

Like texting a friend

Replies come as short messages, one after another. What you mention, they note down and bring up later; you can read or delete what they kept in Memories at any time. After a few quiet days they may send a hello, and you can turn that off in settings.

You write them. They remember you.

Or write your own character: name them, say who they are, and start talking. Stuck? Answer a few questions and let AI draft it for you. Your characters are private by default; sharing one with a friend or publishing it requires review first.
